Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says the US has still used force in the country, despite the US declaring it has ended its “campaign of terror” against ISIS.
Speaking to reporters in Tokyo, Abe said Washington had still continued its campaign against ISIS and the use of force against it was continuing.
The move comes as the United States and its allies have intensified their air raids against ISIS targets in Syria.
The U.S. has launched more than 3,400 airstrikes in the last six months against ISIS, and said last week it was moving forward with plans to increase the number of fighters in Iraq and Syria.
The U.N. envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, said this week that U.K. and French forces were on their way to Syria to help push back the jihadists and fight the al-Qaeda-linked group.
But de Mistur warned that “the air war is being conducted by those countries that have been arming and training the ISIS forces.”The U
